You Alright?
Creative Director. Co-Conspirator. Designer. Mentor.
Call me whatever you fancy.
I’ve spent over 25 years in the branding industry building, growing, inspiring, and leading teams of talented designers and strategists. Together, we’ve created impactful brands across multiple sectors and markets — always aiming to balance money and magic.
My focus is on packaging, identity, and strategy. I’ve worked on some of the most recognizable and influential brands, both locally and globally — including The English Football Association, NBA2KL, MTV, New York Public Radio, Times Square Alliance, P&G, Colgate and Misfits Market.
I’ve picked up a few awards along the way, but what really drives me is collaborating with like-minded clients, rolling up my sleeves and diving head first into the creative process. My goal is simple: put the creative back into Creative Director, make a positive difference through design, and enjoy the ride.
Last year, I joined forces with Stampede Creative, a studio driven by three creatives who actually do the work. We promise jaw-dropping, big-agency-level design with the agility and personal attention only a studio like ours can offer.
Shout Outs
I was the Creative Director/Designer on all of the projects on this site, but would be nothing without the collaboration of all the talented designers, strategists, experts, organisers, leaders and co-conspirators I partnered with.

Let’s talk design
I love a good thought leadership article, podcast or a design debate and have built up an eclectic list over the years. My latest and greatest was an interview with GDUSA as one of their ‘Responsible Designers to Watch’
I’ve won a few things
I have been honored with multiple awards for my work, including D&AD, DBA Design Effectiveness, Clio, Roses, Graphis, Dieline, NY Festivals, Type Directors Club, Vertex, GDUSA and Webbys.
Taking to the stage
In June 2023 I took to the stage at HOW Design Live in Nashville to challenge the idea of Creative Bravery. A tale of dreams, tension and friendship.
Nurturing Talent
I developed a D&AD Masterclass series titled ‘Brave Ideas’ due to launch in late 2024 and for the last 5 years have been a D&AD New York/London Shift Mentor.
5 Design Rules to live by
01
Own Everything
Be gutsy, make it yours, be the work.
Own all your projects. Deliver the unexpected every time and see every challenge as an opportunity. When you believe in what you’re doing and put your heart and soul into it the results will speak for themselves. Own every piece of work you touch and If you feel disconnected ask questions.
The only stupid question is the one you don’t ask.
02
Outthink the Deadline
If I had six hours to chop down a tree, I’d spend the first 5 hours sharpening the axe.
It's not just about working harder or faster but working smarter. Is there a better way? Try to outwit the deadline. Be thoughtful about your approach. Never be afraid to question your process if you think there’s a sharper solution. Never take a headline and run! Put it into context, consider the strategy, go back to the brief. Sketch, brainstorm, ask an expert and sometimes just getting your head down is the answer. Done can be better than perfect!
03
Aim to out create
Fuck I wish I did that!
As designers our mission is to thrill clients and engage our audience with every project. Let’s generate gasps from all corners of the design world. Creativity is our currency and it’s not easy to earn, you must put in the extra work. Ask yourself is that the best it can be? Craft your ideas and never settle until you have struck gold. Look for opportunities to work with talented experts for the skills you don’t possess. Use Illustrators, photographers, typographers, animators if it makes the job stronger as a result.
04
Give it away
The more you give away, the more comes back to you.
Every single person in a creative agency is creative. Working together always brings the best ideas to the table. Speak up, shout out, be heard. The more we collaborate the stronger the work becomes. Show someone. Sometimes you just can’t see the wood from the trees and 9 times out of 10 the best way to make things better is to share.
05
Don’t take it personally
The road to great design doesn’t always run smoothly.
Strap yourself in, brace for impact, but most importantly enjoy the ride. Clients love to do their thing and we love to do ours. Rejection is part of the game. Never let your head drop, resist with reason, there’s always, always a solution.
